Sensational American singer Beyoncé has released the official trailer for her upcoming film Black is King.
The black-people inspired film features top African and African-america music acts from Nigeria and Ghana.
“Black is King” is a labour of love says Queen B. The film was originally shot as a companion piece to “The Lion King: The Gift” soundtrack and meant to celebrate black ancestry.
Beyoncé collaborated with the top African artists including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Shatta Wale and Mr Eazi on the soundtrack.
She also featured American stars Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, her Husband Jay-Z, Jessie Reyez, Pharrell, and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
Black is King was created by Blitz, Emmanuel, Ibra, Jenn, Pierre, Dikayl and Kwasi as Beyonce thanked them all for their brilliant creativity.
The film “Black is King” was written, directed and executive produced by Beyoncé. It premieres worldwide this July 31, 2020. Watch the trailer below.
