On Sunday (Nov 28) Nigerian artist Wizkid officially kicked off the first leg of his ‘Made in Lagos’ tour in the UK.
The ‘Essence’ singer began the UK tour with a bang at the London O2 Arena after his show sold out in two minutes.
Wizkid had a lot of surprises up his sleeve for his fans, who highly anticipated his performance.
Not only did he rock the London O2 stage, but he also brought out surprise guests Ella Mai, Tems, Skepta, Buju, King Promise and Chris Brown.
Fans lost their minds when Chris Brown walked out on stage to perform his single ‘Go Crazy’ featuring Young Thug.
Meanwhile, crowds overwhelmed security as they strolled through barriers at the O2 on Sunday night, gaining entry to a sold-out music concert.
Footage shows staff unable to control the flow of people, who entered the arena at around 9 pm (November 28), as Nigerian singer Wizkid headlined the first of three shows at the North Greenwich venue.
Concerning parallels have been drawn with scenes in the USA last month, where ten people died at Travis Scott’s Astroworld after hundreds broke into the festival.
A spokesperson for the O2 said: “This evening, a breach of the security cordon on the arena entrance occurred and as a result, a number of fans in the queue were able to enter the venue.
“The situation was quickly contained by staff and the incident resolved
“The venue is reviewing security procedures for the remaining shows this week and advises fans to arrive early for security checks tomorrow night and again on Wednesday.”
