Tarrus Riley Out With A Powerful Message, Healing

Share

Tarrus Riley is sharing our concerns by putting together our thoughts and loneliness into one beautiful single titled ‘Healing’.

Healing is Riley’s first album since 2014’s Love Situation.

The first single off the album comes with a powerfully emotive music video to add spice to your listening.

‘Healing’ talks about much of what is happening in the world today. It picks its inspiration from the covid-19 pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill.

It also speaks on the feeling that you cannot hang out with people, the actual reality that you cannot hug your family, friends and loved ones. The solitude that is coming with this new normalcy can be felt in ‘Healing’.

‘Healing’ with an a cappella intro allows the reggae star Tarrus to send a strong-chilled yet loving message of healing.

While the a cappella was only meant to ignite the listener’s attention, the song progresses into a rub-a-dub instrumentation that is still pretty subtle.

Tarrus Riley, affectionately known to fans as “Singy Singy,” is one of the definitive reggae singers of the 21st century.

The ‘healing’ video compiles deserted streets in Jamaica, Black Lives Matter protests, the drought and more disease outbreaks happening in the world.  Effects of the pandemic on people wasn’t left out.

Tarrus stands at a higher point in his town overlooking the empty streets of Jamaica which is pretty telling of the depth of the single and the loneliness of the people we once loved. Celebrity appearances by Konshens catches the eye.

The Healing album will be available July 10th via Zojak World Wide.
