2019 saw Yemi Alade releasing her fourth studio album, Woman of Steel after Black Magic. A collaboration between Duncan Mighty Yemi Alade.
Off the 15 track pop album, track 9 features legendary Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo. The multi-Grammy awarded singer makes her presence felt in Yemi Alade’s spirited music video for “Shekere,” their loved collaboration off the album.

The song is named after the tambourine-like instrument played in various regions of the continent. Both Yemi Alade and Kidjo deliver feel-good lyrics in English and Yoruba over the song filled with string and upbeat production.
