Call for nominations: 2020 UMP Awards in Malawi

The organisers of Malawi’s Urban Music People (UMP) Awards are calling on the general public to nominate their favourite artists, fashion designers and media personalities ahead of the event‘s 2020 virtual edition on 19 December.

The event will be streamed live on social media as well as local radio and TV, and will host watch parties in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. It will be held as a blended edition featuring music, fashion and media.

The nomination form is available here(link is external) and the public has until 13 November to submit their picks. The submissions will be evaluated by a voting college, which includes industry players and experts such as academics and media professionals. The nominees will be released on 27 November.
