Nigerian rapper Falz, has exposed the Nigerian government for taking citizens for granted.

Since the End SARS movement started spreading across Nigeria, at least 56 people have died – 38 of them on Tuesday alone, Amnesty International claims.

A total of 38 people are reported dead at the end of Lekki toll gate where soldiers ambushed unarmed protestors who were demonstrating against state violence. Activist and rapper Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name of Falz, helped lead one of the first protests two weeks ago and has been taking part ever since.

According to the rapper cum actor, Nigeria’s faulty lines should be reformed to give hope to the youth and hard-working citizens.

“Myself and another artist shared on our Instagram pages that we were going to do a walk, a march, a peaceful protest against all forms of police brutality, all forms of police misconduct in general.”

“They take us for granted and continue to say they have ended SARS but it’s always a lie…”, Falz said.

In an interview with CNN’s Amanpour, he talked about the famous #EndSARS protest in Nigeria and how many lives were lost at the Lekki Massacre on Tuesday.

Even though the Nigerian government has denied any deaths from the nationwide protests, Falz believes the time for Nigeria to be a better country is now. Watch more below:
